It is planned to develop a specialized terminal for storage and transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LHCG). It is planned to build steel vertical tanks for LPG storage. The construction of the terminal has not started.
The project of "Sukhodol" seaport is planned to develop a specialized terminal for storage and transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gas. Its creation is conditioned by the raw materials surplus in Eastern Siberia, as well as by the increase in demand from the APR countries and decrease in the relative attractiveness from the European countries.
The LPG terminal is expected to handle 1.5 million tons of cargo per year.
The area of the LPG Terminal is defined as 6.2 hectares.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminal operation principle.
The LPG Terminal and the Methanol Terminal are located on the same site. The LPG Terminal GF is a discharge trestle for one unloading railroad track. The LPG unloading trestle is located parallel to the methanol unloading trestle. Up to 18 railway cars can be placed on the LPG unloading track. The unloading trestle is equipped with 18 overhead drainage devices (overhead drainage risers). The capacity of one drain riser is 40 m3/h.
LPG is stored in a tank farm consisting of vertical steel tanks (VST).
For safety purposes, LPG is stored in tanks using a nitrogen "cushion" system. Each tank will be equipped with a hydraulic safety valve, which prevents the formation of vacuum in the tank. The spent nitrogen "cushion" will be discharged to a scatter plug. Each tank will also be equipped with a grounding system.
The Marine Cargo Front (MGF) of the LPG Terminal is a deep-water berth equipped with a sea stander. Cargo arrives at the MGF via a system of pipelines from storage tanks or directly from the LNG Terminal.
The construction of the terminal has not started.
